Bear hunting is available to outdoor enthusiasts in the fall only.  Baits are set for hunters wishing to bag their bear with a rifle, muzzleloader, archery or camera. All Species of fish are open during the fall hunt at Bear's Den.

Average size of Bear's Den Lodge bear are 5 ½ - 6 foot – placing it in the world class trophy size for bear.
Average weight for a fall bear is 350 pounds.

Bear’s Den Lodge has been offering black bear hunts since 1987 – including, archery, muzzleloader, and rifle hunting. A few rifle stands provide shots in excess of 100 yards with the average being closer to 40 yards.  Archery stands provide shots at 12 to 25 yards.  Please specify choice of hunt at time of booking.

16’ Lund Boat/25 hp. Mercury Motor with cushioned swivel seats, gas, worms, and safety equipment. Depth finder, trolling motor, landing net, and minnow buckets are available. (Two hunters per boat).
Arrival time – must be prior to dark - Hartley Bay Marina closes at dark.
Departure – the following week.

Bear's Den
