General: Bear's Den Lodge is seeking responsible, dependable staff to work in an enjoyable environment with a commitment to superior service levels with excellent compensation.

Availability:  Should be available from early May - until mid-end September preferred. 

Seeking: Non-supervisory general worker for dock hand and housekeeping who are not afraid to work, enjoy cleaning, early mornings, versatile team players desired for including serving dining room, kitchen chores, outside work, mowing, gardening, painting, cabin cleaning - position available May until mid to late Sept. and possibly October. Our team assists each other to compliment the team approach. Hospitality work in the tourism industry at a full service, full American plan fishing lodge in Northern Ontario. Bear's Den Lodge is a leader in the field. # 1 Destination in Canada.

Want to work to make some money for school, enjoy the outdoors, then consider employment at a fast-paced resort on the French River.  A great French River job opportunity.  Experience is not mandatory, but the ability to learn quickly and communicate well are required.

Job description: Standard dining room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner with including salad prep and dish. Cottage housekeeping function is generally performed prior to lunch. Some other duties include: vacuum and mop, strip and remake beds, wash dishes, load/unload dishwasher, clean kitchen, wash fridge & stove, dust, wash windows, sweep; laundry, clean lodge daily, clean American Plan rooms - bathrooms and cottages daily, general maintenance duties, daily boat service and cleaning, transporting and assist guests by carrying luggage, getting water & ice, selling bait, empty garbage. Other outdoor responsibilities, chores, and necessary general operations of resorts.

Pay Rate: Very competitive. Weekly Wages with excellent potential for additional earnings from gratuities. Remote location, room & board benefits provided.

Staff Accommodations and Compensation: Staff is housed in single rooms in main lodge with separate shared bathroom facilities. There is a satellite TV and a screened-in porch in common area; staff has its own dining room. Enjoy swimming. 

Seasonal employee compensation for staff exceeded $10,500.00 for 2009.

General worker - dock work and motivated, upbeat people. Must be willing to work varying shifts and job assignments. Good attitude and a willingness to work are a must. Small family staff environment.
