Canada northern pike
fishing - Bear's Den Lodge resort. Anglers' opportunities for trophy
Canadian pike challenges start early spring until the end of fishing
season in late October. Pike normally spawn in late April to early May (ice out), just about the time walleye are spawning. Northern pike
generally move to grassy areas or shallows in the French River in early
spring. Northern pike strike lures such as spoons, Mepps,
spinner baits, and bass lures in the grassy bays and weed beds
throughout the season. Predator instincts of northern pike will
cause these fish to ambush smaller fish in areas of structural
changes. In late fall, the trophy Canada pike generally move
away from the dying, decaying vegetation and are found hunting
for food near rock points and ledges. Canada northern pike
fishing is an angler's challenge unsurpassed in the wilderness
of Northern Ontario, Canada. Fish French River and Georgian Bay
for pike.
