70 Pound Line Class World Record Muskellunge Holder - Catch & Release, Kevin Penner of Virgil, Ontario caught and released this beauty of a muskie at Bear's Den Lodge, French River Delta, Ontario, Canada on September 9, 2006.  Kevin was fishing Ontario with friends, Dave and Mark on an annual Canada fishing trip to Bear's Den Lodge. This fresh water angler released the 56.5 inch fish after Mark and Dave assisted him in measuring the 28 inch girth and weighing the fish. The monster muskellunge fish weighed  41.13 pounds. A quick photo session occurred prior to the live release of the muskie. It should also be mentioned that Kevin had an amazing trip by having just released a 48 inch muskie 2 days prior to this Line Class Muskie with his buddies. Breaking News from the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame arrived Oct.16, 2006. Kevin's photo and record now appears in "The Splash", the official publication of the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame, November 2006, page 6.
